King Measures Net Gains

In another 50 years or so, last Thursday could be documented as The Day Billie Jean King Came to Town. At the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich before the Fairfield County Community Foundation’s Fund for Women & Girls luncheon, dozens waited in the VIP line to get a one-on-one with King, anxious as kids waiting to pose with Santa Claus.
The sellout event raised $700,000 for the Family Economic Security Program at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport.
