Tennis legend and long-time equality campaigner Billie Jean King has spoken at length about the difficulties and challenges she faced when coming out to the world.
Having already thrown her support behind a push to rename Margaret Court Arena, claiming she would refuse to play there if still on the tour because of her Australian rival’s outspoken views on homosexuality, King pinpointed the moment when she realised equality issues would define her life.
