For half a century, Billie Jean King has used her voice to fight for social justice and equality. Now 75, the 12-time Grand Slam singles champion is taking a new approach to push for inclusion in the workplace.
On Tuesday, her non-profit—the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative—announced in partnership with Brooklyn-based toy company FCTRY the launch of the Billie Jean King Action Figure. Standing approximately six inches tall, the figure is the latest in a series produced by FCTRY with a connection to a cause. Five percent of sales ($1/figure) will go towards the BJKLI’s programs, which include symposiums and industry-leading research.
